Our new pony just arrived today and were very excited to announce that Lanes Tammy Lee-(Gayfields Mastermind/Lanes Katy Lee) is HERE, 13'3hh Black mare with three socks and a star, were looking forward to seeing what she produces for us, Lanie has had several foals in the past all crossbreds so were excited to add her to the broodmare band. Many thanks to Joanie Zier and family of Deaver, Wyoming for allowing us the opportunity to purchase another lanes pony, our favorite bloodlines:)

"Happy New Year" were slogging around in the mud wishing for dry weather and spring it really can't come quick enough around here, but we do have some news our Regional Awards came in the mail and we were surprised that Tide Creek Bella Donna was NW Region Champion for Sec C fillies after only one show, so we are thrilled that little Bella is a Regional Champion and Lanes Chorus Girl was Reserve Champion for English Pleasure for WPCSA NW Region, we'll have to mail the award to her new owners. We also want to Congratulate Amy Hale for Showing Tide Creek Rowan to WPCSA National Champion Sec D filly for 2007 and many Regional Awards with Rosie and Tide Creek Eira, also Tide Creek Diablo owned by Liz Hofer has many WPCSA National Performance Titles and Regional Awards so its been a great year "Thank-You to both Amy Hale and Liz Hofer for all they've done with their wonderful Tide Creek Cobs! The weather here has been wild, some tropical type storms that dumped nearly 12 inches of rain here in 24 hours flew through and than some wild freezing weather we don't normally experience so were definitely ready for spring and foals and shows!

We had so much fun at the show the Double Gold NWWC in Moses Lake, Washington  we only took two of our own ponies but Annie Beamer was there with Gus aka Tide Creek Augustus and Amy Hale was also there with Tide Creek Eira who won the Ridden Cob and her new filly " Tide Creek Rowan" aka Rosie who did really well in halter so needless to say we were thrilled I can't even remember all the placings guess I'm still on Cloud 9, we took our five year old mare Kinnic Kinnic Alabaster Splash aka "Allie" and she was so good she loved showing and was so fun she was second in her halter class under both judges and we also took our Sec B mare Lanes Chorus Girl, Sierra Haglund was kind enough to ride her for me in the Junior English Pleasure and she won one of her division classes and placed Second in the other two so ended up Reserve Champion English Pleasure, Sierra also rode her western (we weren't sure if she knew western but she was a trooper so we tried it) and she won a 2nd in that pretty good for not having a neck rein, and Sierra enjoyed riding her so much she switched her for her eq class and also won 2nd so we were thrilled, Cory is such a wonderful childs pony it makes me sad I don't have anymore riders or this pony would never be for sale, she loves to show. We also have three new foals, Lascaux A Go Go presented us with a wild lovely palomino sabino filly by *Popsters Mr Bojangles were so thrilled, Bella is definitely here to stay and Tide Creek Princess Grace had a lovely "BIG" Buckskin filly by Tide Creek Crackerjack and Lanes Misty Lee had a darling smokey black colt with two whites and a blaze so just waiting on one last foal thats hopefully a keeper filly out of StageCoach Chloe and by Misty Mountain Brynmor were hoping for a filly to keep, Chloe is due 7/02/07 so stay tuned our Jack Russell Puppies are almost ready to go there so cute will be sad when they leave we haven't had a litter of puppies for two years so these have really been alot of fun well thats all the news for now seems like things are just flying by we've been so busy this year.

August 21, 2006

Hi All,
We just got home from the NorthWest Welsh Classic and had a ball, our second Sec B colt of the year Tide Creek Augustus went Junior Champion under the british judge which was just thrilling, our homebred Sec B mare Tide Creek Morning Glory went Reserve Champion Sec B mare also under the british judge and went on to win the Ridden AB class to say I was thrilled would be an understatement, Glory is one of my favorites and was pulled out of the broodmare band in May to start her undersaddle training, the only bittersweet thing is I'm realizing I really can't justify keeping such a wonderful under saddle pony, which is kind of sad for me. My Sec D mare Lascaux Echo was also at the show with her three month old Sec D colt by Gallod Time to Go and he also went Junior Champion Cob colt under the british judge, and Echo went on to place third in the ridden cob class with her colt standing outside the ring, we can't thank our two riders/trainers enough Heidi Keyser with Tide Creek Morning Glory and Amy Hale with Lascaux Echo!!! We also got some great news before leaving for the show Stagecoach Chloe my Sec D mare is confirmed in foal to Leah's Misty Mountain Brynmor so were keeping fingers crossed for a palomino Sec D filly, okay back to unpacking the trailer and stuff just had to share.

This summer is really flying by, we just got home from the Double Gold show in Eugene put on by Emerald Empire and had a ball, too much fun as usual we only took two cobs to this show so we could relax a little but were still making our goals of getting out some of our mares that haven't been shown before North Forks Lady Delia was great she rode western and english and even tried Ridden Cob got some nice placings in halter we were thrilled, Amy Hale has done a great job showing and training Delia and Echo, we also picked up Lascaux A Go Go who was coming home from being bred to *Popsters Mr Bojangles so were still hoping for a filly to keep, and Heidi Keyser brought Tide Creek Morning Glory this was Glorys second show and her first over fences, she's taking a break from the broodmare band as well this year and was started under saddle the end of may, Heidi's also doing a great job training and showing Glory we were so thrilled to watch her compete and place 2nd in her first ever over fences class. We also got to watch Tide Creek Eira and Amy show in Eira's first year under saddle so that was a thrill to finally see some of our own stock out there competing, and as always we had too much fun, Tony and Hal Westbrook barbecued for everyone we always enjoy that, next year were going to see if we can get an exhibitors party going for EEWPS, we should have some fun at the shows too!!! Were looking forward to the last show in Spanaway, the middle of August thats our favorite so hope to see everyone there. I posted more pictures of everyone on the Shows page.

We saw quite a few Tide Creek ponies at the show so that was fun Tide Creek China Doll was there and did really well and her mother Tide Creek Morning Glory did her first under saddle class which was really fun to see Heidi Keyser is doing a great job with Glory and many thanks to both Heidi Keyser and Heidi Juza of Canter Ridge ponies for helping us show everyone got kind of wild for the championship classes so we really appreciated their help, the weather was scorching on saturday so we took off early sunday morning to get home with the baby before it got to hot, we came home just in time for a new foal Flying Diamond Antique Lace had a big dun filly by Kenfel Sunbird I think that she will go gray though, we'll see its a nice filly regardless and can't complain about fillies, I need to get some new pictures of our palomino colt by *Heniarth Neon he's fluffing up really nicely and is really cute he's got four socks and a blaze a record for us, we are lucky to get one sock let alone four. Hello,
Just a note before I have to dash out the door for work, we had a great time at the show we took 5 ponies which I don't think I'll ever do again WHEW, that was alot of work but it was great our baby Sec B colt Tide Creek Amigo (Kenfel Sunbird/Lanes Covergirl) all of 1 1/2 months old went first in his strong colt class and went onto Juniour Champion Colt which shocked us but we were so thrilled since we think he's pretty wonderful too, our two broodmares did really well in a nice mares class, one haden't been shown since she was two and the other Amigo's mom had never been shown they handled everything so well it was so nice to see, Lanes Brown Sugar went Reserve Grand Champion Sec B mare, and our other mare Lanes Covergirl was 4th place in a lovely mares class, we also took our Smokey Creme Colt "Tide Creek Crackerjack"(Tide Creek Jack Frost/Pajons Royal Promise Ring) and he was so good for his first show we were really pleased he was first in his colts class, and last but not least was our Sec C Cob mare Lascaux A Go Go who also went Reserve Grand Champion Cob Mare so we had a great weekend in spite of the rain, we got to sleep in the new trailer that was wonderful to lay there listening to the rain and not wonder where the puddles were going to end up he,he,he (like our last show we got soaked) the exhibitors party was wonderful as always and it was so fun seeing everyone again, even though most of the time I really didden't have time to visit. My camera went on the fritz just before the halter classes but  the show photographer was wonderful and I was able to borrow a video camera from my friend so when we get that all sorted out I will have some pics and video and when I get the photographers photos back I'll post them.

Wow really haven't posted anything since January, were way behind!! Foaling season was off to a bang with a gorgeous Dun colt by Kenfel Sunbird and out of Lanes Covergirl on 4/14/06 than a week later Midnight Merigold presented us with another double dilute colt born on 04/22/06 both were first time moms and did an awesome job and are great moms we have quite a few maiden mares this year so it will be an exciting foaling year for us and now were on foal watch for Lascaux Dosi Do bred to Gallod Time to Go and than Lascaux  A Go Go is bred to *Popsters Mr Bojangles both due the first week in May so anytime now, were getting anxious for show season, we'll be attending the All Welsh Enthusiasts Spring Fling in Moses Lake, Washington this year the first weekend in June so were excited to finally get to use the new trailer, we bought an Exiss Aluminum three horse with a mid tack so its still sitting in the driveway brand spanking new without a speck of dirt on it, that won't last long but that new trailer smell is wonderful.......were slowly getting everything whipped into shape around here after the long wet winters, its so nice to have this warm weather for the first foals, I'm sure were not done with the rain yet but off to a good start for spring. We bought back a mare we bred so were happy to welcome Tide Creek Sunshine (Brookside Lucullus/Alvesta Koleda) back to the fold, Sunshine is four years old this year and had a lovely filly last year by Kenfel Sunbird, we haven't decided if or how many were breeding back yet more to come....

Blackjack has been in training and is going pretty well under saddle even jumping a little so he came home for the rest of the winter off, than he'll start again in the spring he's going to make a really nice riding pony, so we'll be busy again in 2006!! We'll hopefully be showing some of our older ponies who haven't been out yet so check back for more updates when the foals start. We also got a new Jack Russell Terrier female black and white puppy back in September from Illinois, CK Sheba will eventually be bred to our black and white male Romney legend, when she's older so have we been busy or what.....

Our two boys Tide Creek Jack Daniels (Tide Creek Jack Frost/Alvesta Koleda) and Tide Creek Owen (Gallod Time To Go/Lascaux Dosi Do) just left with Bob Hubbard yesterday bound for California and their new home with Debra Weathers of Vacaville, CA, so that was exciting, its definitely fall around here the leaves are starting to change and we had an early bought of rain, were still waiting for our Semi load of eastern oregon hay to be delivered, but will hopefully be here in a week or so before the rains, we also have some news, we bought a new pony "Allie" Kinnic Kinnic Alabaster Splash arrived on 9/10 from Wisconsin and has quickly settled in and were so pleased with her, she has a lovely temperament and is a gorgeous black sabino Sec B filly by Starlight Majestic Black Eagle/Cardiff Colors, Allie will be bred to Tide Creek Jack Frost in the spring always fun to see what you get, you can see more pictures of Allie on her page http://www.tidecreek.com/alliespage.html were hopefully going to go to the October 2 show in Albany to watch, but other than that were winding down for winter, Amy brought Thor home after a lovely beach ride, the pictures are gorgeous and left for Wales 9/18 for a year of school, I know Thor will miss Amy, we will too hopefully she'll be back next summer for more fun! Cleo our Jack Russell Terrier is due any minute, so we'll have Christmas puppies this year that should be fun.

We just got home from the NWWC (North West Welsh Classic), in Spanaway, Washington had a great time, Thor at the last minute got a nasty hoof abscess and had to stay home which was really disappointing but such is life, he had a great first year under saddle and no complaints here Amy Hale did an awesome job with Thor and we couldn't have been any more thrilled with his progress, we decided to take Jack at the last minute since he looks so good, and Lascaux A Go Go our little C mare and future driving pony, we were amazed when Gogo won her mares class than went on to Cob Mares Champion in a huge class of Cob Mares I think there were at least 10 and than went on to the Supreme Class and was still in the running with having a trot off for the top three, we were thrilled for us and for her breeders our good friends Hal Westbrook and Lei Broadstone of lascaux Welsh, we always thought Gogo was the perfect C but always nice to get confirmation!! Were busy now weaning foals and may attend the last show in October with Gogo so hopefully we'll see everyone one last time at the October show, we had a great time the NWWC is always so much fun, the auction was wonderful and we had a great time, Tony's still recovering he,he,he!!!

We attended the newest double Bronze welsh show in Roseburg, Oregon on 05/02/04 and had a great time, our cob stallion Gallod Time To Go did very well, taking home a first in halter under judge Wing and a 3rd under Judge Beamer, and a Reserve Grand Cob Stallion in the Championship class were so pleased his trainer Amy Hale has done a great job with him and we are just thrilled with his progress he also went on too place fourth in his very first performance class and it was a huge one since they didden't split the different sections I think there were 11 or 12 in his performance division not bad for just over two months under saddle, the weather was gorgeous and the fairgrounds were a very nice facility we also got too see Tide Creek Amber with her new owners and did very well in the performance classes which was great fun, were now up too four foals "WOW" where did April go so far we have two boys and two girls and three too go, I just love this time of year there are foal pictures posted on the foals page all of our foals this year were born during the day, lucky us it will probably never happen again, and more pictures of Thors first show and his big swim in the river are on Thors pedigree page off of his link on the stallion page, were off too Lewiston, Idaho next for the Spring Fling the end of may, sure is nice too start off show season with a bang:)

September 21,2002

Stagecoach Chloe arrived today from Barb Villani of Elizabeth, Colorado we've been waiting a year for this day to arrive, and it was well worth the wait. Chloe is four months old a Section D welsh Cob filly many thanks too Barb for all the extra care and attention she gave this poor girl after her mother died when she was only five weeks of age were so excited about her. We had to miss the last show of the year a first for OWPS their Bronze rated show but heard it was great fun and well attended. We are still waiting on one last foal our aged mare Lanes Pixie is in foal to *Rosedale Fairy Prince were anxious as her due date approaches were hoping for a filly but aren't we always she's due 10/20/02 the day before my birthday what a treat that would be. Amanda has been busy training her newest project Flying Diamond Magic Dancer our adorable Sec A mare we decided to sell and she's doing wonderfully under saddle this will definitely make a childs pony deluxe for some lucky kid. Tony's still working away on stallion pens and barn roofs and the usual never ending maintenance that goes with a farm of any kind especially with horses, who seem to be much harder on things than any other farm animal oh well keeps us busy. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here the past few weeks were hoping it keeps up through October before the rains come.

                                                                         Cheers
