Our
fascination with the welsh pony began innocently enough. We had been
searching for an older pony for our daughter and the rest is history, Tide
Creek Welsh founded in 1992 is now home to some of the finest performance
ponies anywhere, we have Section B and Cob breeding stock and
started ponies, all with bloodlines specifically geared towards
performance and children ponies with an emphasis on temperament. We use
our ponies in 4-H, Pony Club and Open Shows as well as Welsh Breed shows
with many of our ponies who are just starting to hit the performance
circuits in Hunter and Sporthorse breeding divisions as well as halter
ponies .We breed for true to type Section B ponies and Cobs with correct
conformation and good minds.
We stand four stallions, three Section B
and one Sec D Stallion Gallod Time To Go imported from Manitoba Canada.
Thor is quickly proving himself with his foals, and is starting his under
saddle career we hope to have him out to show in 2003, we also stand
our own homebred colt Tide Creek Jack Frost a stunning 13'2h Black Roan
Sec B Stallion who was virtually unbeaten in hand in 2000 and earned the
Sec B 2yr old Colt Championship for the NW Region WPCSA, and also our own
foundation Stallion Kenfel Sunbird a lovely 13h Dun Section B Stallion
with many halter championships to his credit and Regional Awards his foals
have proven themselves already with their great performance careers
not to mention the lovely dun color Sunny throws 80% of the time, and in
1999 we leased and than purchased Sunnys grandsire *Rosedale Fairy
Prince a Sec B Stallion from Wales with wonderful old Downland breeding,
who was imported by Asgard Welsh in Wisconsin . Prince himself has an
impressive list of accomplished offspring doing Hunters and Sportponies
some selling in the six figure range.
